Limited Warranty

Mission Custom Doors LLC warrants its products for a period of one year from date of shipment and or pickup to the customer against manufacturing defects, materials, and workmanship. If such a defect appears during the term of this warranty, Mission Custom Doors will, at its option (1) repair the defective product, (2) replace the defective materials or (3) refund your purchase price. If replacement is elected, Mission Custom Doors will not be responsible for installation or refinishing of replacement parts.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

The above warranty periods commence on the date of shipment from the manufacturing facility. This warranty does not cover broken glass; minor glass imperfections that do not affect normal vision or product performance, including curvature of glass due to atmospheric conditions; torn screening; damages resulting from improper installation; damages caused by airborne pollutants such as salt or acid rain; negligence or unreasonable use (including failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance); stress resulting from localized application of heat that causes excessive temperature differential over the glass edges of the unit; damage resulting from fire, lightning, windstorms, earthquakes, wind borne objects, strain applied to the unit by movement of the building or inadequate provision for expansion or contraction of framing members; condensation on windows, which is a natural result of humidity within the house and the difference between the internal and exterior temperatures.

ADDITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS EXCLUDED FROM THESE WARRANTIES

The following are not defects in workmanship or material and are not covered by these written warranties:

Damage caused by attempts other than Mission Custom Door’s to repair the door.

Failure to properly seal the door. All edges must be sealed within 72 hours after fitting and hanging with the integrity of the finish maintained.

Natural variations in the color or texture of the door.

Doors or door components that are not finished and hung properly; and doors/components that are exposed to direct sun or rain under normal conditions.

a. Warp not exceeding 1/4” in the plane of the door itself for doors up to 3’6” in width or 7’0” in height. Warp not exceeding 3/8” in the plane of the door itself for doors up to 5’0” in width or 10’0” in height. Warp excluded from the warranty for doors over 5’0” in width or 10’0” in height.

Defects caused by (1) warp or bow of the frame or jamb in which the door is hung or (2) improper installation such that the door does not swing freely.

Damage caused by improper handling or on-site storage. Storage damage includes moisture in doors due to humidity.

Panel misalignment or shrinkage is not considered a defect.

The performance or appearance of finishes applied is not covered.

Expansion of bottom rail due to climate conditions is not considered a defect.

Damage caused by extreme temperature build-up where a storm door or dark paint or stain is utilized.

Failure to perform normal homeowner's maintenance, including maintaining the finish.

Surface checking of hardwoods is considered a natural characteristic and is not covered by this warranty.

Damage or defects caused by house settling or acts of God.

This warranty covers only manufacturing defects, is limited to repairing or replacing defective parts or components, and providing return transportation to the manufacturer's nearest place of business, and does not include labor or other costs incurred in the removal, replacement, installation, or reinstallation of the product or any part or component of the product.

CHECK PRODUCTS FOR ALL OF THE BELOW:

1) Grain separations, style splitting, or wood damage.

2) Proper alignment of panels, correctness of material.

3) Damage of glass items, loose or installed, must be checked at the time of delivery and noted to Mission Custom Doors.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND NO PERSON (INCLUDING ANY EMPLOYEE, CONTRACTOR, OR REPRESENTATIVE) IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY CONCERNING THIS PRODUCT, EXCEPT TO REFER PURCHASERS TO THIS WARRANTY. NO WARRANTY EXTENDS BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION HERE ABOVE LISTED, AND NOT A WARRANTY OF FUTURE PERFORMANCE BUT ONLY A WARRANTY TO REPAIR/REPLACE OR REFUND.
